Beaches in California are the best……Brian Wilson said it best in his song “Surfin’ USA” (although the song’s melody was ripped off from “Sweet Little Sixteen” by Chuck Berry).

As a youngster growing up in Southern California, the best surfing was at Doheny Beach, just like in the song!

I love vacationing in California! The drive is pretty costly now though.. I used to be able to drive there and back for under $200. It’ll cost me anywhere between $500-$1000 to drive there and back now.. ridiculous gas prices. I want to see $2/gallon again.

last year i have been in california or better said san francisco..well i thought it would be able to go to the beach and swim but was really wondering why nobody do this… but now i know because its so cold :)
I heard the beaches in san diego are the nicest in california..

I think beaches of San Diego are the best because of two reasons:
* The weather will be amazing and

During vacation periods, on weekends, or at any time of the year California is definately a place to visit. It never rains in southern California!
Now I’m thinking of visiting Manzanillo Mexico for some surfing and good times, it’s a big area. Has anyone been there?
