Beaches in California are the best……Brian Wilson said it best in his song “Surfin’ USA” (although the song’s melody was ripped off from “Sweet Little Sixteen” by Chuck Berry).

As a youngster growing up in Southern California, the best surfing was at Doheny Beach, just like in the song!

I love vacationing in California! The drive is pretty costly now though.. I used to be able to drive there and back for under $200. It’ll cost me anywhere between $500-$1000 to drive there and back now.. ridiculous gas prices. I want to see $2/gallon again.

I think beaches of San Diego are the best because of two reasons:
* The weather will be amazing and
* You will discover lots to do San Diego.

I’ve been visiting your blog for a little while now and I always find something interesting in your posts, thanks for sharing.

I run a related blog and recently was quoted saying…

Those of you who are looking to get away with a husband or wife would find the Maui to be the perfect beach vacation. Located in Hawaii, Maui is one of the most romantic beaches in the world. Also well known for honeymoons, Maui offers you plenty of breathtaking beaches with plenty of other things to do as well.

You can see the full post as well as the full context of the quote above by checking out the page on my blog…

During vacation periods, on weekends, or at any time of the year California is definately a place to visit. It never rains in southern California!
Now I’m thinking of visiting Manzanillo Mexico for some surfing and good times, it’s a big area. Has anyone been there?

I really love to go surfing! Especially at Santa Cruz. They don’t call it Surf City for nothing. I would venture to say that SC has the best waves you can find along the California coast. Big Waves=Big Fun. To everyone who’s out surfing right now, I’m totally jealous, and be safe out there.

Have seen a lot of the surfers out in Santa Monica but never tried it myself. The area is always lively with both locals and tourists. It’s also beautiful at both sunrise and sunset, definitely a place to check out if you live in the general LA area.
